Seed Saving Workshop
September 30 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
ImagineIF Libraries and the Good Seed Co. have teamed up to offer a Seed Saving Workshop at Columbia Falls Junior High “Wildcat” Garden on Saturday, September 30 from 9:30am to 11:30am. Participants will learn how to harvest and save seeds from plants in their garden in this hands-on workshop with Robin Kelson from the Good Seed Co.
Participants should be prepared to harvest, clean, and pack seeds in any kind of weather. Garden gloves are recommended. Seeds can be taken home and saved for next season. Extra seeds will be donated to the Flathead Grows! Seed Library at ImagineIF Libraries in Columbia Falls.
This workshop is part of the ongoing mission of the Flathead Grows! Seed Library to foster community building opportunities that will create a better quality of life through health, relationships and sustainable connections to local food resources. The seed library is open to the public and a library card is not required. ImagineIF offers many resources to help your growing efforts succeed, including books, workshops and more.
