This fall explore transformation with ImagineIF Libraries. Learn about processing at our Community Cider Pressing event in October. Then this November find time for reflection with tattoo stories of personal transformation. Embrace the change!
Tattoos tell people’s stories of love and loss, celebration and change. Explore personal transformation in this exhibit with photos and narratives about community members’ tattoos and the journeys they signify. Then, share your own story of personal transformation. November 1-30

Food and Shelter
Do you know how many people were living without access to permanent housing in the Flathead Valley in January 2017? ImagineIF Libraries and Community Action Partnership Northwest Montana want you to know the answer. At ImagineIF Libraries we are making a miniature house village to represent all those without shelter in our valley. Come paint a house, donate some food for the Flathead Foodbank, or just take it all in. What can you do to help our local people in need? November 13-18
FOL Book Club
The Friends book group meets the second Tuesday of the month, September through June. All are invited to join the discussion. This month’s selection: “Hillbilly Elegy: a memoir of a family and culture in crisis” by J D Vance. A passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis – that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over forty years, that of white working-class Americans. November 14, 5-6 p.m.
OPERATION OWL PELLET
Using special tools, participants will discover just what is inside an owl pellet. Learn about the forest’s ecosystem and identify animal bones with this fun activity. Appropriate for grades K-6 with some adult assistance. November 13-18 3pm-5pm
ONGOING WEEKLY EVENTS
Footloose Friends (formerly Toddler Time)
Sing, dance, read and explore while also building social and emotional skills. This fun and interactive class is for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move! Bring your sense of fun for the included messy and sensory play that helps prepare children for future learning success. Caregiver participation encouraged. (ages 2-4) Tuesdays 11-12p.m.
Super Scholars (formerly Preschool Storytime)
With a special emphasis on independence and a focus on longer stories, listening, and taking turns, preschoolers in this class will gain skills they need for kindergarten success. Sessions will also include fun songs, movement and basic literacy concepts, as well as math and science exploration. (ages 4-5) Wednesdays 11-12pm
Early Explorers (formerly Books and Babies)
Share smiles, stories, rhymes and more at this entertaining and interactive class for infants and toddlers and their caregivers. Rhythm and repetition form a foundation for learning by strengthening language connections in the brain. Participants will also learn fun techniques for using books, songs, and rhymes at home. (birth to age 2) Thursdays, 11-11:30 a.m.
Anime and manga otaku unite! Come together to watch anime, eat popcorn, discuss manga and meet other fans. Open to teens in grades 6-12. Showing this month: ”Devil is a Part Timer.” November 2, 4-5:30 p.m.
Discuss your favorite books and enjoy gaming on our Wii, awesome crafts, free food and a chill atmosphere. Open to teens in grades 6-12. Rice Krispie Treats: What crazy flavors can you add to rice krispie treats? Experiment different combos to make your own signature rice krispie recipe! November 16, 4-5:30 p.m.
