Trivia @ the Brewery
Enjoy trivia night every Monday at the brewery, with trivia questions provided by ImagineIF Libraries. Put your brain to the test! Kalispell Brewing Company: Mondays, 6-8 p.m.
FOL Book Club
The Friends book group meets the second Tuesday of the month, September through June. All are invited to join the discussion. This month’s selection: “West of Kabul, east of New York” by Tamim Ansary. Born to an Afghan father and American mother, he struggled to unite his divided self and to find a place in his imagination where his Afghan and American identities might meet. December 12, 5-6 p.m.
Create your own hand-powered drawing robot with regular household stuff! Participants will develop inquiry and creativity skills while learning about the science of elasticity. Appropriate for grades K-6; while supplies last. December 11-15, 3-6pm and December 16th all day
ONGOING WEEKLY EVENTS
Sing, dance, read and explore while also building social and emotional skills. This fun and interactive class is for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move! Bring your sense of fun for the included messy and sensory play that helps prepare children for future learning success. Caregiver participation encouraged. (ages 2-4) Tuesdays 11-12p.m.
With a special emphasis on independence and a focus on longer stories, listening, and taking turns, preschoolers in this class will gain skills they need for kindergarten success. Sessions will also include fun songs, movement and basic literacy concepts, as well as math and science exploration. (ages 4-5) Wednesdays 11-12pm
Share smiles, stories, rhymes and more at this entertaining and interactive class for infants and toddlers and their caregivers. Rhythm and repetition form a foundation for learning by strengthening language connections in the brain. Participants will also learn fun techniques for using books, songs, and rhymes at home. (birth to age 2) Thursdays, 11-11:30 a.m.
Anime and manga otaku unite! Come together to watch anime, eat popcorn, discuss manga and meet other fans. Open to teens in grades 6-12. Showing this month: ”Noragami.” December 7, 4-5:30 p.m.
Discuss your favorite books and enjoy gaming on our Wii, awesome crafts, free food and a chill atmosphere. Open to teens in grades 6-12. Wire Wrapping Pendants: Spin and knot wire around the stone of your choice to make fun pendants and bracelets. December 14, 4-5:30 p.m.
