KALISPELL, MONTANA – The Hockaday Museum of Art announces the 2017 Members’ Salon, an exhibition of works created by Museum members. The show kicks off with an opening reception Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will remain on display through Jan. 6, 2018.

Each year, the Museum invites all current members to enter the Members’ Salon and showcases their work gallery-style. Pieces in the show represent a wide range of media and subject matter, and levels of mastery, from beginner to professional. Now in its 16th year, the Members’ Salon illustrates the talents of the Museum’s membership.

The public is invited to vote in the Peoples’ Choice Award. Votes may be cast Nov. 9 through Dec. 15, and winners will be announced Dec. 16.

Many of the artists offer their works in this show for sale.  A portion of the proceeds from each sold piece benefits the Hockaday’s exhibition and education funds.

The Hockaday Museum of Art is located in the cultural district of downtown Kalispell at 302 Second Ave East. It is housed in a 1904 Carnegie Library building that appears on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Museum is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, open year-round, Tues-Sat from 10am-5pm. A wheelchair accessible entry and elevator are provided. For more information, please visit www.HockadayMuseum.org or call 406-755-5268.

High resolution photos of works to appear in this exhibition are available upon request.
